I just wish we had a convertible.

The trip is, indeed, happening after all. We haul ass out to Mesa Verde on Friday/Saturday, then skip from park to park, before we meet up with additional crew in Las Vegas. From there, we're stopping at three parks in Utah, and hightailing it back to Grinnell. 3500 miles.

So I've been cast as Yoshitsugu in Grinnell's upcoming Fair Ladies at a Game of Poem Cards. That's pretty cool, right? Yeah. Sweet. I'm in a play. Whatever. Neat. Turns out this guy's a samurai. Oh. Sweet! Like, with the man-slicing swords? Yeah. Right on. May 5-8.

And now I will both inform you for the first time and explain the likely crumbling of our spring break plans: We were going to do this whole big thing with national parks in Colorado and Arizona and Utah—with a brief stopover in Las Vegas somewhere near the middle of it all, but, as it goes, we can't figure out some of the delicate math inherent in the planning stages of such a situation. Read: We can't get enough people in on it to make it financially feasible for everyone. But, we'll see... I may just have enough friends on this campus/planet to eke it out by tonight, which is, essentially, the deadline for this whole shindig. March 18-April 3.

Cale and Will are on their way down to Grinnell to catch Brother Ali and Treologic tomorrow night, which is a welcome change. Normally, we end up back home and not the other way around. Actually, Grinnell's managed to piece together some pretty decent acts this semester, though the Happy Apple show scheduled for this evening has been postponed. Cake, Gomez, and Robbers on High Street are coming soon, too. April 29.

And that about does it, doesn't it?
