I saw Dirt Bike Annie last night, woke up this morning and wanted to listen to nothing but aggressive, quasi-melodic post-punk music. The problem is, all I have in that vein is... I don't even have anything in that vein. I've listened to Charm City by The Selby Tigers twice and Get A Hustle by Grotto once and a half, but am now left wishing that I'd just picked up a copy of Show Us Your Demons last night and spared myself the almost-but-not-quite-isms I'm getting from all of this stuff that just barely misses the mark. I guess I'll try The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They're pretty close.
