It's pretty amazing, when you think about it, how similar the second-rate film actors Keenan Ivory Wayans and Mario Van Peebles look alike. The mention of these two stems from an argument I had earlier today in which I claimed Mr. Van Peebles was the star of 1997's Most Wanted, while Chris contended that it was Wayans. I was, in fact, wrong. I suppose having actually seen the film may have given me more of an edge in this debate. I claim now, however, that the two look so much alike that there is really no point in differentiating between them, even though Van Peebles directed New Jack City and starred in Solo, clearly making him the superior, especially because Wayans is to blame for the Scary Movies. Ick.

I auditioned today for Tartuffe, for which I read a monologue from the film October 22, which I recommended to the assistant director while viewing said movie last weekend. It's one side of a phone discussion between Peter Benson (Tate Donovan) and some anonymous film exec by the name of Marty ("Marty, Peter Benson with Promotional Concepts."). It's outstanding.

Peace.
